Field Trips

Another way we share is by hosting field trips for local school classes and Brownies in Broome County to learn about oral health and orthodontics in a fun atmosphere. Additionally, for the Brownie Quest Badge activity “My Best Self”, this completes Step 5 – Meet a Health Helper. Our hygienists provide instruction on proper dental health and function, care of teeth and gums, and how braces work to create healthier smiles. Learning stations that are fun and informative reinforce the knowledge with hands-on activities. We even take impressions of participant’s thumbs and pour in stone for a take-home memory! Please contact us if you are interested in a future field trip opportunity. We look forward to welcoming your troop to our practice.

Scholarships

We recognized the importance of serving our community, as a local practice established over 50 years ago. Our goals go beyond creating beautiful smiles, and including continued commitment to positive impacting our patients and the community. Each year we recognize graduating seniors from local high schools who have displayed outstanding achievement and share our commitment to this community.

Groundhog Day Shadowing

At Hatala Orthodontics we love having visitors and sharing our passion with all those interested. Each year on Groundhog’s Day, we invite students from all over the area to learn why we love orthodontics. It is a privilege to share our passion with kids, and impart on them our values and experiences.

Car Washes

Need a fun idea for a group fundraiser? Ask us about hosting a car wash for your local group or club. If you have driven down Riverside Drive on a Saturday in the summer you have probably seen our patients hosting car washes and bake sales for their school organizations. You may have even stopped in yourself for a wash or some baked goods. Contact us if you would like to host one this year.
